A Solutions Architect, who reports to the Manager of Professional Services, is responsible for meeting with clients to understand their business pressures and needs. This individual will leverage their business, industry, and technical expertise to design and document effective and scalable solutions, with a focus on strategic roadmaps, and coordinating across departments to shepherd complex initiatives. A Solutions Architect will also mentor and guide fellow professional services team members for team and client success.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Strong business and industry focused
  • Engage with customers, key decision makers via phone calls or in-person meetings to support sales in scoping and closing new deals or assist active projects in overcoming hurdles and moving forward
  • Identify opportunities and prescribe solutions that enable our customers to increase their Salesforce ROI by leveraging the platform to improve their employee and customer experiences
  • Analyze customer business requirements and translate into technical requirements
  • Develop and design best practice solutions leveraging declarative and/or code based functionality
  • Inspire innovation to best serve Vicasso Customers, by identifying business cases where it would be valuable to explore new technologies or Salesforce functionality
  • Serve as a mentor to the members of the Salesforce Consulting team, helping to advance the team’s technical skills through group presentations and individual coaching
  • Conduct learning sessions for Vicasso on new features / functionality with Salesforce, or other technologies, that are relevant to the customers and industries Vicasso serves
  • Work independently or as part of a team to deliver Salesforce solutions for customers
  • Partner and assist other team members, as needed, with their monthly continuous innovation cadence calls to help identify strategic opportunities or value-add initiatives with customers
  • Partner with Director, and Managers of Salesforce Professional Services to identify opportunities and solutions for process / operational improvement that improve both employee and customer experience
  • Identify and collaborate with marketing to participate in opportunities to promote the Vicasso brand
  • Active in the community/social media (thought leadership)

Success Criteria/Requirements:

  • Preferred Certifications: Qualify as a Salesforce Certified Architect
  • Leadership/departmental initiatives
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Translate requirements into documented optimal technical solutions
  • Able to articulate thoughts, technical and otherwise, in concise language which is catered appropriately to the target audience
  • Ability to articulate differences between declarative and programmatic approaches
  • Ability to translate requirements into documented optimal technical solutions
  • Ability to gain insight into the client organization understanding pain points as well as political/business pressures
  • Preferred 6-8 years of relevant workplace experience or less years with an MBA or equivalent military or military spouse experience
  • Administering and building out solutions on the Sales, Service and Experience Clouds to support evolving business processes.
  • In-depth business knowledge, including multiple industries
  • Able to proactively identify potential business needs and strategic opportunities
  • Understands how multiple complex business processes are interdependent
  • Able to think strategically and design solutions that are flexible and scalable for long-term business needs
  • Able to identify when to bring in additional resources to address project needs
  • Takes initiatives for professional development
  • Able to recognize and navigate risks
