Company Information

We are Drummond Street Services and our wide range of services help people facing personal challenges and societal barriers connected to living situations, health, identity, relationships and community. We operate across metropolitan Melbourne and other areas of Victoria, Australia. We offer total support and acceptance for wherever they are at in life, and for all of life.

We are guided by both a public health framework and our social justice framework and are committed to ongoing improvements across 6 key areas:

  6. Strategic advocacy
We also acknowledge parts of the community are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. First Nations people, QTIPOC, Asylum seekers, refugees and international students show continued resilience, strength and determination. The sex worker and hospitality industries have been hit hard and members of the LGBTIQA+ communities working in these industries have faced job losses and financial stress.

Company History

Drummond Street Services is a 135 year old not-for-profit, non-denominational agency. We provide family services, family violence services, mental health and wellbeing services, relationship counselling, parent support and education for families, children and young people. We try and reach the most marginalised families in our community. Our services and our approach to service delivery reflects the diversity of the communities in which we engage. Using public health programming we deliver interventions across the prevention, early intervention, tertiary, and recovery spectrum. This includes universal and targeted responses underpinned by multiple disciplines and types of knowledge. Our practices and programs are evidence-based and informed by lived experience through the use of a co-design process.
