Job Description
Purpose of the role
You will be responsible for managing Salesforce, and take a lead on developing and streamlining the system to increase efficiency and support teams to meet organisational goals. You will work closely with the Head of Knowledge and Insights and other members of the team to ensure their systems support the effective implementation of the programme. You will engage with external providers to streamline Salesforce and introduce new systems.

Role Summary
- Review existing processes, and scope new Salesforce development projects to drive operational efficiencies, address organisational needs and improve user experience.
- Lead system change implementation, including adoption by users at a variety of technical levels and abilities
- Design, test, and deploy new custom functionality including process builder, flow, lightning pages, and custom fields and objects.
- Optimise and fix existing standard and custom functionality based on colleague feedback.
- Manage system security using profiles, permission sets, and sharing groups.
- Manage integrations with third party platforms such as Form Assembly and Docusign.
- Deliver Salesforce training, produce guidance documents, and help to embed Salesforce use across other teams.
- Line manage Impact Officer responsible for the day to day running of the Salesforce data system
- Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding children and young people in line with Safeguarding Framework and the DFE’s Keeping Children Safe in Education.
- Support a culture of impact and evidence within the organisation, ensuring that all teams have access to efficient and effective systems which support their work with children.
- A flexible approach to work is essential. All staff may sometimes be required to adapt their duties to take account of changes in work practices

Person Specification
Essential skills and experience
- Experience using Salesforce in a system administrator role or similar
- Advanced Salesforce reporting skills
- Experience building and maintaining processes in both Process Builder and Salesforce Flow
- Experience working with custom objects and fields and profiles and permissions in Salesforce
- Experience using Dataloader or Data Import Wizard
- Experience dealing with quantitative data, confidence manipulating large datasets
- Project management experience with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in supporting user adoption of new technical system in another organisation, including promoting behavioural change in non-technical audiences
- Able to think logically and creatively to resolve problems and generate new ideas and solutions.
- Capable of balancing and prioritising multiple tasks at once.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Microsoft Excel skills including vlookup, pivot tables etc.
Desirable skills and experiences
- Salesforce certification(s) (ideally including Administrator I)
- Working knowledge of Form Assembly and its Salesforce connector
- Experience of maintaining Salesforce integrations with third party platforms
- Experience using Mass Action Scheduler and/or Declarative Lookup Rollup Summaries
- Experience of working in the education, youth or charity sector
- Experience providing support in an internal support team, or customer/ public facing role.
- Experience using databases/ CRM systems as an end-user
