Job Description

The Senior Salesforce Administrator is a member of the PHF staff and reports to the VP Foundation Operations. This Senior Salesforce Administrator will assist in leading the ongoing development and deployment of our SF NPSP platform. The successful candidate will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes pertaining to the foundation and fundraising. The SSA is also responsible for day to day NPSP support and maintenance of the platform. The SSA will lead the process of Salesforce administration, development, data mining, analysis, reporting and providing insights to key stakeholders of the Foundation on operations and other data and systems. The SSA will translate business objectives into actionable reports, dashboards in NPSP and leverage tools like Tableau to communicate the analytics and trends to stakeholders at all levels in the foundation.

Responsibilities:
Leads the migration from RE to NPSP in conjunction with the VP Foundation Operations. Works as a supporting liaison between the IT team and foundation staff for facilitating communications, coordinating system enhancements and providing production support.

Coordinate the evaluation, scope, configuration and Implementation of new functionality, process automation and other requests.

Work with our management team to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities

Configuring complex Custom Objects, Fields, Workflows, Approval Processes, Rules, etc.

Ensure the overall integrity and quality of the donor database, including regular data improvement and hygiene, enforcement of database business processes and management of business rules and other set-up functions of the database.

Manage third party apps and system integration to SF. Make recommendations on tools that will provide better user experiences and efficiencies.

Develop, customize and manage dashboards, reports, forms, templates, page layouts, workflows and maintain custom objects, object relationships, standard and custom fields.

Perform administrator functions such as user management, profiles/role/org hierarchy design, permissions, rules, queues, licenses, capacity and storage management

Stays current on Salesforce releases, new features, required triaging for adoption of releases, product roadmaps, and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange.

Document and maintain consistent procedures for data input to ensure accurate data.

Create processes for training and onboarding new users to SF.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of IT or Development/Fundraising Operations experience. Detailed knowledge of systems analysis with focus on customer requirements and concepts of the software development lifecycle.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively translate between end-users, business analysts and technical /functional experts.

Ability to create and document business requirements, use cases and test cases, interaction with stakeholders, business user/analysts, partners and vendor teams.

Advanced analytical skills in data mining and analysis to determine trends and provide recommendations to senior management by building visually compelling dashboards.

Experience with database conversions and data transformation

Advanced understanding of PC fundamentals and experience with MS-DOS, MS-Windows, and PC office automation products

Experience planning and coordinating organizational change

Previous experience anticipating and addressing customer needs

Background in educating employees, customers and transferring knowledge

Diagnosing and resolving problems

Preferred: Salesforce Administrator Certification
