MuleSoft Developer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of MuleSoft experts that will drive and execute this business's long-term API vision and strategy as part of their training digital transformation initiatives.

You will work within a wider Agile DevOps function as part of a specialist MuleSoft Anypoint Centre of Expertise API team. You will be responsible for the identification, analysis, design, development and documentation of APIs and integration flows using the MuleSoft Anypoint platform, serving the entire UK business.

This business has a fast paced, digital, technical and business environment in which you will be able to develop your skills and the function supports thousands of internal users and external customers through its Mendix and Salesforce platforms ib which they have built a wide portfolio of solutions – from significant digital transformation initiatives to innovative cloud-based mobile apps. With the acceleration of the digital transformation and API strategy, you can be assured of a full pipeline of varied and interesting projects that will really put your MuleSoft skills to the test!

To be considered, you will be a proactive and enthusiastic MuleSoft Developer with a solid software engineering background. You must have the following skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience in Mule v4 including either/both on-premise and CloudHub runtimes
  • Experience in developing APIs using MuleSoft within Agile delivery teams
  • Knowledge of REST design principles and API design/architecture best practices
  • Knowledge and proven experience of three-layer integration architecture principles
  • Knowledge of OAS and/or RAML
  • Knowledge of XML and JSON
  • Knowledge of API security standards
  • Experience in CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps (or similar)
  • Proven unit testing skills using the MUnit framework

A MuleSoft Development Certification is preferred, and you must have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of £45k-£60k plus a 9% bonus and a superb 12% Non-contributory pension. In terms of location, this is a hybrid role where there is lots of flexibility to work from home. You will need to visit the office in either Wiltshire or Hampshire occasionally (2-3 times a month although this is not a strict rule). If you prefer you can even choose to be fully office based. On top of this, there is also flexibility on working hours so you can manage your work around family/personal commitments.
