Job Description

The SevenPoints’ Solution Architect is responsible for collaborating with our customer's technology and business stakeholders to develop a scalable Salesforce architecture, vision, and strategy that enables business outcomes.

The Solution Architect will work as part of the delivery team dedicated to ensuring that we help our customers maximize their Salesforce solution investment. The Solution Architect should have excellent Salesforce solution design experience, technical aptitude, and solid communication skills. The role requires the individual to interface directly with both internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and design or enhance the system accordingly.

The Solution Architect plays a critical role in the organization and will be responsible for architecting the design of the Salesforce solution as well as understanding how to prepare data for sending it to other systems for processing. This person will play a hands-on role in designing and documenting the solution, collaborating with consultants to get the solution built, and leading on-shore and off-shore developers when necessary.

The ideal candidate possesses:
  • a detailed and thorough understanding of how clients use Salesforce to optimize their business processes
  • a proven track record of delivering successful Salesforce projects
  • comprehensive knowledge of the Salesforce solution design and shared components
  • a proficient technical understanding of the Salesforce platform and design best practices; specifically as it relates to design principles, configuration vs. customization, features, functions, integrations, data models, and more
  • exceptional communication skills
  • 3+ Salesforce Platform certifications

Reporting to the Head of Delivery, the Solution Architect will leverage current Salesforce platform technologies to design, develop, and support Salesforce-related projects. An ideal candidate will demonstrate progressive leadership in the full lifecycle of the software development environment. The Solution Architect position is a hands-on role and the individual is responsible for both strategy, vision, and jumping in to get the job done.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Serves as a technical leader for customer engagements & project teams
  • Responsible for the technical aspects involved in designing and delivering the Salesforce solution - understanding when to use declarative process flow vs. custom Lightning components and/or APEX code
  • Develops strong client relationships by building trust, rapport, and positive working relationships with key sponsors, stakeholders, and team members
  • Contribute to, and provide oversight on, the design, configuration, development, and deployment of system features that meet the business requirements
  • Defines the system landscape to identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver a CRM solution
  • Oversee the configurations, custom code development (Visualforce and Apex), and deployments, to meet the business requirements
  • Provide Salesforce technical advice & recommendations, to contribute to the successful delivery of the business solutions
  • Define the business requirements, write user stories, and provide detailed Salesforce designs including the development of the Salesforce object data model.
  • Wireframe custom user interface designs within the Salesforce Lightning Design Framework as well as make recommendations for future state processes and system designs
  • Partner with other business and technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into platform roadmaps and work toward realizing the roadmaps
  • Where required, support sales activity to scope, estimate, and position successful delivery of customer solutions
  • Assist with Salesforce platform management tasks such as app evaluations, security model design, external system integration, capacity planning, etc.
  • Assist with migration from legacy systems, data, and processes into Salesforce.
  • Identification and recommendations for improving data quality management
  • Design and manage the execution of test plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered
Development & Support
  • Has a comprehensive knowledge of Salesforce Service Cloud native features and functions including:
    • Sales Cloud
    • Service Cloud
    • Community / Experience Cloud
    • Health Cloud
    • Integrations (CTI, ERP, APIs, Etc.)
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases, new features, product roadmaps, and applications available from 3rd parties on the Salesforce AppExchange.
  • Helping with triaging and fixing defects for the planned releases and production.
  • Assist with the internal development of practice methodologies, design best practices, training, and support for the delivery team
  • Assist with coaching and mentoring less experienced team members
  • Strong experience in Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and/or Health Cloud is expected
  • Salesforce Certification (Advanced Developer or Platform Developer) is preferred
  • At least 5 years of direct experience in software development and/or programming, design, and systems management using Salesforce CRM
    • At least 5 years of technical or consulting experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, specifically as a solution architect, solution engineer, IT consultant/developer in a customer-facing role that provided differentiated software technology solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and self-starter with strong written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Broader programming technologies such as HTML, XML, JSON, jQuery, SOAP, AJAX, JavaScript a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical degree
  • At least three (3) active Salesforce certifications and a willingness to achieve additional certifications on emerging technologies - examples of certifications:
    • Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer (required)
    • Sales Cloud Consultant
    • Service Cloud Consultant
    • Health Cloud Accreditation
    • Sharing & Visibility Designer
    • Platform App Builder
    • CPQ Specialist
    • Field Service Lightning Consultant
    • Mulesoft
    • Community Cloud Consultant
    • Pardot Specialist and/or Pardot Consultant
    • Application Architect
This position is 100% remote with up to 20% expected travel.
